International Animal Rights Day 2024

International Animal Rights Day is about raising awareness on the importance of
protecting the rights of animals by treating all animals with kindness and consideration.

The date of this day has been set to the 10th December for a reason. To line up
with the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This has
been done to highlight the importance of valuing the rights of both animal and humans equally.

This day encourages and reminds people to reflect on how animals are being
treated. As emotive beings, their welfare and happiness is as equally as important as that of humans.

Are you wondering how to involved in supporting International Animal Rights Day?

The day serves as a global reminder of the moral responsibility humans have toward non-human animals. Encouraging individuals, organisations, and governments to take action against practices that harm animals, such as factory farming, animal testing, and illegal wildlife trade. Through protests, educational events, and social media campaigns, activists use this day to amplify the voices of animals and push for legal reforms that recognise and safeguard their fundamental rights.

Here at East Sussex Osteopaths, we value the welfare of animals and are always working hard to help ensure they are well looked after, pain free and can live a long and happy life.
